As a therapist specializing in chronic pain, migraine, headache, and other debilitating conditions I understand that the process of engaging yet another PT feels daunting and opens up, yet again, feelings of vulnerability.

You may be looking for more in your therapeutic relationship. This takes insight and courage, especially if you have not yet had success in addressing and working through your particular aspects of suffering.

Being proactive and wise in “simply” researching therapeutic options for yourself is a sign of your refusal to give up. Your resilience and sanity may be wearing thin. Yet, you have taken the initiative to visit my site, and to read these words.

Whatever the injuries or illnesses are that bring you here—you’ve already begun the process of this personal undertaking to lessen your suffering.

What makes me different is that my approach to health and healing involves a multi-disciplinary approach. Not only does it sometimes take a village but it also takes thinking outside the box such as understanding the importance of the mind-body connection.

I am injury-trauma informed (pain, grief, anxiety, PTSD). Having worked for 38 years in major out-patient hospital settings in San Diego and Portland I have been exposed to numerous debilitating conditions.

Complex medical cases cause us to often feel stuck. What makes us suffer more is when we have no where else to go and no other practitioner to turn to for additional answers.

In the midst of all this we experience ourselves as unbalanced, fragmented, and “all over the place”. My approach is to identify the source(s) of pain and collaborate on a path to healing while working through aspects of your suffering with mindfulness training if requested.

My clients often feel alone and isolated, disconnected, and sometimes struggle with chronic negative thoughts, beliefs and feelings. They may have low self-worth and feel they are “not good enough” because they can no longer participate in what is “expected” of them.

My clients may feel anxious, nervous, and are unable to find ways to be unburdened by relaxing. My therapy addresses more than your particular musculoskeletal condition. You may be in the midst of a major life transition while experiencing loss and grieving what you once knew.

In spite of what happened to you, you may be on the verge of discovering more refined pleasures. In so doing finding your authentic self, your true identity, and/or your life purpose.

You are the one true expert in finding your path to health and healing. I am a well-traveled, passionate, and resourced guide. Side-by-side we will mindfully explore the physical and the emotional aspects of your healing.
